How we met

We were recommended to Urban X by one of our contacts, who had a long-term relationship with its founder, and Urban X approached Ross Hayward for help with a technology build. We took the time to make sure the cultural fit was right and that we could genuinely add value, then agreed valuation and terms in four weeks.

How we met

Our investment grew out of a long-term relationship. The business began as one store, The Mobility Aid Shop, without the team or infrastructure to scale. Part of the plan was finding the right CEO: John Corry had been talking with us about an opportunity, and was excited to become CEO and the largest shareholder.

How we met

We’d known the founders and executives for more than 15 years. When the time came, we went from term sheet to final agreements in eight weeks, with no external commercial due diligence and no change in valuation along the way.
